Trees for Kingswood

Kingswood is known, in part, for its beautiful, mature trees. In recent years, Emerald Ash Borer infestation has caused the loss of over 40,000 trees across the city, many of which were removed in the Kingswood Neighborhood. In July 2025, a storm brought straight line winds that downed or damaged another 300+ trees in the neighborhood.

In an effort to replace the trees we have lost, the Kingswood Neighborhood Association has funded 17 trees in our first year through the Boulevard Ash Tree Replacement Grant provided by the City of Sioux Falls. In 2026, the Association will be requesting additional funds for both ash tree and storm damaged tree replacement. Please join our Facebook Group to follow updates on the yearly grant process.

 Additionally, all home east of Valley View in the Kingswood Boundaries are eligible for a completely free tree from the city Communitree Program.
